New Hope was first founded in 1978; the land for the building was purchased for $3,326 and the building for $10,8885 for a total cost of $14,211. There were 6 students to begin the first school year. New Hope’s enrollment ebbs and flows with one year having as little as 6 students, to as many as 49 in recent years. In 1997, a new building was purchased and moved all the way from Kearney, Nebraska!
As of 2022, we have had a steady number of students the last 7 years with enrollment staying right around 45-50 students. With the steady number, we are in desperate need for more space. New Hope has actually expanded its building more than once in the past. Our current building is the 3rd building we have owned and outgrown and that is even with using Apfel’s next door!
